Global slides are reusable slide templates that you create once and use across multiple presentations. They help you maintain consistency and save time by eliminating the need to recreate common slides.

What are Global Slides?

Global slides are slide templates that:
  • Reusable: Create once, use in multiple presentations
  • Consistent: Maintain the same design across all uses
  • Updateable: Edit the template once, update everywhere
  • Flexible: Can contain static content, dynamic data, or both
Example: Create a “Company Overview” global slide with your standard company information, then reuse it in every presentation without rebuilding it each time.

Types of Global Slides

Static Content Slides

Slides with fixed content that rarely changes:
  • Company introduction and vision
  • Standard disclaimers or legal text
  • Team member profiles
  • Partner logos and information
  • Contact information

Data-Driven Slides

Slides that automatically populate with portfolio data:
  • Property details (name, location, description)
  • Unit availability and pricing
  • Building features and amenities
  • Floor plans and specifications

Hybrid Slides

Slides with both fixed design and dynamic data:
  • Location maps with standard layout
  • Pricing tables with consistent formatting
  • Feature lists with property-specific items

Using Global Slides

Adding to Presentations

When you add a global slide to a presentation:
  1. The slide appears with its default design and content
  2. Data fields automatically populate (if applicable)
  3. Editable fields can be customized for this presentation
  4. Locked fields remain unchanged

Customizing Editable Fields

For fields with editing enabled:
  1. Add the global slide to your presentation
  2. Click on editable fields to customize them
  3. Enter custom values for this specific presentation
  4. Save changes
Customizing a field in one presentation does not affect the global slide template or other presentations.

Managing Global Slides

Editing Templates

Changes to global slide templates affect all presentations using that slide (unless users have overridden specific fields).
When you edit a global slide:
  • Design changes apply to all uses
  • New data fields become available
  • Control settings can be adjusted
  • User overrides remain intact

Organization Tips

Name slides clearly: “Company Intro - Full” not “Slide 1”.
Use tags like “Introduction”, “Contact”, “Legal”, “Features” for easy filtering.
Create new versions (v2) rather than overwriting if making major updates.
Quarterly, review slides for outdated content or design improvements.

Best Practices

Create for Reuse

Only create global slides for content you will use multiple times.

Keep It Focused

One main message per slide. Do not cram too much information.

Tag Thoughtfully

Add descriptive tags so team members can find slides easily.

Test Before Publishing

Preview slides in different presentations to ensure they work well.

Document Usage

Add descriptions explaining when and how to use each slide.

Consider Mobile

Ensure slides work well on all screen sizes.
