What are Settings?
Project settings allow you to configure key information that appears in your presentations:- Company Description: Short and long descriptions of your company or development
- Company Vision: Your vision statement or key messaging
- Certificates: Awards, certifications, and recognitions to showcase
Accessing Settings
To access your project settings:- Navigate to your project
- Click on Settings in the project menu
- You’ll see various settings sections including company information and certificates
Company Description
Provide both short and long descriptions of your company or development project. These descriptions appear in different parts of your presentations depending on available space and context.Short Description
The short description is a brief, one or two-sentence summary:- Character limit: Typically 150-200 characters
- Purpose: Quick introductions, headers, preview text
- Best for: Elevator pitch, taglines, brief overviews

Long Description
The long description provides detailed information:- Character limit: Typically 500-1000 characters
- Purpose: About sections, detailed overviews, informational pages
- Best for: Full company story, project details, key features

Setting Company Descriptions

Navigate to settings
Go to your project and click on Settings.

Locate the “Company Description” or “About” section.

Enter short description
Type or paste your brief company description (150-200 characters).

Type or paste your detailed description (500-1000 characters).

Managing Certificates
Showcase your certifications, awards, and recognitions to build credibility and trust with potential clients. Certificates demonstrate your commitment to quality, sustainability, safety, or other important standards.What are Certificates?
Certificates in Walk the Room can include:- Certifications: Environmental certifications (LEED, BREEAM), quality standards (ISO), safety certifications
- Awards: Industry awards, architecture prizes, best developer awards
- Recognitions: Media features, rankings, endorsements
- Memberships: Professional associations, industry organizations
Certificate Components
Each certificate consists of three parts: 1. Headline- The name of the certificate, award, or recognition
- Keep it clear and specific
- Example: “LEED Gold Certified” or “Best Residential Development 2024”
- Logo of the certifying body or award
- Badge or seal representing the certification
- Photo from award ceremony
- Recommended: PNG with transparent background, 200-400px wide
- Brief explanation of what the certificate means
- Why it’s significant
- When it was awarded
- 50-150 characters
Adding Certificates

Navigate to settings
Go to your project Settings.

Find certificates section
Locate the “Certificates” or “Awards & Certifications” section.

Click add certificate
Click “Add Certificate” or the plus icon to create a new entry.

Enter headline
Type the certificate name or award title.

Upload image
Upload the certificate logo, badge, or related image.

Add description text
Write a brief description explaining the certificate’s significance.

Preview
See how the certificate appears in your presentation.

Save
Click “Save” to add the certificate to your project.
Editing Certificates
To update an existing certificate:- Navigate to Settings > Certificates
- Find the certificate you want to edit
- Click on it to open the editor
- Update the headline, image, or text as needed
- Save your changes
Deleting Certificates
To remove a certificate:- Navigate to Settings > Certificates
- Find the certificate you want to remove
- Click the delete icon or select “Delete”
- Confirm the deletion
Deleting a certificate removes it from your presentations immediately. Make sure you no longer need to display this certification before deleting.
Certificate Best Practices
Verify Authenticity
Only include genuine certifications and awards. Ensure you have the right to display logos and badges.
Keep Current
Remove expired certifications and update dates on time-limited awards.
Prioritize Relevance
Feature certificates most relevant to your audience. Don’t list every minor recognition.
