# Settings

> Adjust your settings

Customize your project settings to provide rich information about your company and property. These settings help you create more informative and compelling presentations for your clients.

## What are Settings?

Project settings allow you to configure key information that appears in your presentations:

* **Company Description**: Short and long descriptions of your company or development
* **Company Vision**: Your vision statement or key messaging
* **Certificates**: Awards, certifications, and recognitions to showcase

These settings enhance your presentations by providing context, building credibility, and highlighting what makes your project unique.

## Accessing Settings

To access your project settings:

1. Navigate to your **project**
2. Click on **Settings** in the project menu
3. You'll see various settings sections including company information and certificates

Each project can have its own settings, allowing you to tailor information for different properties.

## Company Description

Provide both short and long descriptions of your company or development project. These descriptions appear in different parts of your presentations depending on available space and context.

### Short Description

The short description is a brief, one or two-sentence summary:

* **Character limit**: Typically 150-200 characters
* **Purpose**: Quick introductions, headers, preview text
* **Best for**: Elevator pitch, taglines, brief overviews

**Example:**

> "Modern waterfront living in the heart of Stockholm. Sustainable design meets urban convenience."

### Long Description

The long description provides detailed information:

* **Character limit**: Typically 500-1000 characters
* **Purpose**: About sections, detailed overviews, informational pages
* **Best for**: Full company story, project details, key features

**Example:**

> "Seaside Residences brings contemporary waterfront living to Stockholm's most sought-after neighborhood. Our 120-unit development features sustainable architecture, premium finishes, and resort-style amenities. With direct access to public transit, shopping, and dining, residents enjoy the perfect balance of urban convenience and coastal tranquility. Each apartment is thoughtfully designed with floor-to-ceiling windows, private balconies, and smart home technology. Our commitment to sustainability includes solar panels, green roofs, and energy-efficient systems throughout."

### Setting Company Descriptions

### What to Include in Your Vision

Your vision statement should:

* Express your core values and mission
* Communicate what makes you different
* Inspire and resonate with your audience
* Be authentic and genuine

**Examples:**

**Sustainability-focused:**

> "Creating sustainable communities where modern design and environmental responsibility come together to build a better future."

**Luxury-focused:**

> "Redefining luxury living through timeless architecture, exceptional service, and uncompromising attention to detail."

**Community-focused:**

> "Building more than buildings-we create vibrant communities where people connect, grow, and thrive together."

## Managing Certificates

Showcase your certifications, awards, and recognitions to build credibility and trust with potential clients. Certificates demonstrate your commitment to quality, sustainability, safety, or other important standards.

### What are Certificates?

Certificates in Walk the Room can include:

* **Certifications**: Environmental certifications (LEED, BREEAM), quality standards (ISO), safety certifications
* **Awards**: Industry awards, architecture prizes, best developer awards
* **Recognitions**: Media features, rankings, endorsements
* **Memberships**: Professional associations, industry organizations

### Certificate Components

Each certificate consists of three parts:

**1. Headline**

* The name of the certificate, award, or recognition
* Keep it clear and specific
* Example: "LEED Gold Certified" or "Best Residential Development 2024"

**2. Image**

* Logo of the certifying body or award
* Badge or seal representing the certification
* Photo from award ceremony
* Recommended: PNG with transparent background, 200-400px wide

**3. Text/Description**

* Brief explanation of what the certificate means
* Why it's significant
* When it was awarded
* 50-150 characters

### Adding Certificates

    Write a brief description explaining the certificate's significance.

    See how the certificate appears in your presentation.

    Click "Save" to add the certificate to your project.

### Editing Certificates

To update an existing certificate:

1. Navigate to **Settings** > **Certificates**
2. Find the certificate you want to edit
3. Click on it to open the editor
4. Update the headline, image, or text as needed
5. Save your changes

### Deleting Certificates

To remove a certificate:

1. Navigate to **Settings** > **Certificates**
2. Find the certificate you want to remove
3. Click the delete icon or select "Delete"
4. Confirm the deletion

  Deleting a certificate removes it from your presentations immediately. Make sure you no longer need to display this certification before deleting.

### Certificate Best Practices
